A Cousin's Promise
I have never been a great reader, no matter how much I wish I was. I am constantly started new books without completing them. Lately I've been trying to choose reading material that is more education than entertaining, but they don't always seem to hold my attention for very long. Truth is, I love stories!! Especially romantic stories, but it is very difficult to find a romantic book (maybe I don't look hard enough) that isn't full of vulgar acts & language.
Until Now.
I just finished A Cousin's Promise and I loved it!! I can't wait to read the next book. If I had a 12 or 13 year old daughter I would let her read it.
Have you read any good books lately? Can you make any recommendations??

I just finished reading "The Reagan Diaries". Fascinating behind-the-scenes look at what a President of the United States does day-to-day. Reagan was a really good writer--his autobiography is also a really entertaining book to read.
Oh, that looks like a book I'd enjoy! I'm an avid reader, so I suppose I like most books though.
But if you liked the genre of that type of book, I've read a great deal of Amish fiction books. Many by Beverly Lewis are good. Lurlene McDaniel has some too, but hers are more sad than love stories.
I just enjoy how many of the Amish fiction books have an undertone of purity and Godliness. :)
Hi Molly,
First, of all thank you so much for still visiting my blog. I realize that my posts have been few and far between, but I have to admit I was so excited to see your comment the other day.
Also, I am so happy that you made it through a book. Reading is one of my favorite things, that is when the book is actually good. As for suggestions...have you ever heard of Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers? It is quite a hefty book, but nonetheless amazing. I could not put it down. I will try to think of some others and let you know.
Have a lovely weekend!!
Thanks for sharing.I was looking at that book and wondering if I would like it or not. I LOVE stories with Amish backgrounds. I soak up a lot of Beverly Lewis books.
Lori Wick is also an awesome author (love stories)..lol. I like them too, but love the Christian based theme, and how it just inspires me as a wife and mother, friend and especially a daughter of the Most High.
I have all of Lori Wick books. I couldn't put them down, I would finish them off in a few days, lol.
Thank you everyone for all of your wonderful suggestions and comments.
I will definately be adding them to my Amazon wish list.
Blessing to all!!
